Salty
Saltwater crocodiles are massive! They can grow up to 23 feet and weigh as much as a small car. They’re also the world’s most aggressive crocodilian species, so it’s best to keep your distance. These crocs can often be seen basking on riverbanks or gliding just below the surface.
In the mangrove regions of Kota Belud, Sabah, saltwater crocodiles are apex predators. They occupy the top of the food chain, keeping the populations of other animals in balance. The dense mangrove habitat provides the perfect hiding places for them, allowing them to ambush prey effectively.
